Pay a Little for a Lot in Lake Placid

Lake Placid has a lot to offer, but if you want to maximize your Lake Placid experience, you need to stay at the right hotel. It’s important to understand that most Lake Placid hotels are beautiful. However, in most cases, you have to pay a lot of money for this beauty. The three hotels covered here offer immaculate beauty for reasonable prices.

1. High Peaks Resort

This is a fitting name since it describes the property well. The High Peaks Resort overlooks Mirror Lake, which makes for fascinating views. You can also enjoy a great panorama from an outdoor dining deck in the summer months. If eating a tasty lunch while looking out at majestic mountains and one of the prettiest lakes in the United States is your idea of a good meal, stay at High Peaks Resort. But that’s not the only reason to stay here.

This resort is beautiful in every regard. For example, it’s possible to relax in a leather chair by a fireplace in the lobby. This is a great place to read a book or socialize. Other hotel amenities include a heated pool, a Jacuzzi, a gym, a business center, and meeting rooms. Every hotel room comes with a flat screen TV, a refrigerator, amazing beds, large bathrooms, and private patios. The location is also ideal since you can walk to Main Street.

2. Lake Placid Lodge

The Lake Placid Lodge is the best value hotel in Lake Placid. Rooms and cabins are available for extremely affordable prices. This is pretty amazing considering the property. This isn’t a luxury hotel, but it’s still very pretty. This property is rustic and country with a hint of romance. Amenities include a pool, a hot tub, a complimentary breakfast, and coffee/tea makers in every room. The food here is outstanding.

3. Adirondack Inn by the Lake

This Lake Placid hotel is best described as simple beauty. From the free coffee in the lobby to the friendly concierge service to spacious and clean rooms, everything is pleasant. The private balconies are great for anyone who appreciates a wonderful view of the mountains.

The pool and game room are great for the kids. And the golf, fitness center, billiards, and Jacuzzi are all adult favorites. The location is excellent since you can walk to restaurants, shopping, and Mirror Lake Beach with ease.

The tricky part about these three hotels is that it’s difficult to choose just one. The best advice is to make a priority list.

Whichever hotel matches your top three priorities best is the hotel to choose. That said, you should be pleased regardless of your decision.
